Among the 10 districts that make up the city of Cannes, La Californie, which overlooks the bay, is undoubtedly one of the most select in the city. It is bounded by Pointe Croisette to the south and Le Cannet to the north.

The Villa Picasso , also called Villa California, bought by the famous painter from whom it takes its name, saw the birth of many of his works including "the Bay of Cannes". This villa has seen famous celebrities such as Catherine Deneuve, Gérard Depardieu, Sting and Bono parade through its walls.
